My top 10 pictures in one single day of some great #oceanviews at the #SwamisBeach in #Encinitas!

Encinitas is a small beach town in Southern California close to San Diego and is famous not only for its Self Realization Fellowship Meditation Gardens that overlook the ocean but also the Swamis beach, a favorite surfing spot for surfers from around the world. I was there earlier this year and even though a storm was building up, I couldn't resist going down to the beach and clicking some pictures with my new iPhone 6S Plus. I was in Catalina for the first time about a couple of years ago to celebrate a friend's birthday and was totally unprepared for the shock that was Catalina! Please don't misunderstand me, I had a completely different picture of the island in my mind than what it actually turned out to be, so the shock. #Railcruising the #coast of #SouthernCalifornia: 10 #photos from my #traveldiary

In my experience, the best way of going from Los Angeles to Encinitas is by train. Luckily the time taken by train travel for this route is only about 2 hours and the view of the ocean is breathtaking. To go to Encinitas, you need to buy the ticket for Solana Beach which costs about $35 and can be purchased directly at the Los Angeles Union Station on showing an ID. The train which is called the Pacific Surfliner for this route, runs at regular intervals throughout the day and you can check train schedules on the Amtrak website. If your destination is Encinitas, you can get off at Solana Beach and take a cab to Encinitas. I usually take the Uber that does not cost more than $10.

What I shopped at Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills for $40!

Hi friends, how are you doing today? :) A couple of months ago, when I was visiting L.A., my dear friend Karol drove me to the fashion district of L.A.--Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills! Believe it or not, it was the first time for me there (even though I have been to L.A. so many times!) and since it was the end of my trip, I only had $40 left to shop....I don't think it's a good budget to shop anywhere, leave alone Rodeo Drive but Gucci made up my day--they have a new make-up line and I got the Gucci Cerise 070 Audacious lipstick for $39 which is totally fabulous!
