#Railcruising the #coast of #SouthernCalifornia: 10 #photos from my #traveldiary
In my experience, the best way of going from Los Angeles to Encinitas is by train. Luckily the time taken by train travel for this route is only about 2 hours and the view of the ocean is breathtaking. To go to Encinitas, you need to buy the ticket for Solana Beach which costs about $30-$35 and can be purchased directly at the Los Angeles Union Station on showing an ID. The train which is called the Pacific Surfliner for this route, runs at regular intervals throughout the day and you can check train schedules on the Amtrak website. If your destination is Encinitas, you can get off at Solana Beach and take an Uber cab to Encinitas that does not cost more than $10.
The other day, as I was going through my travel diary, I stumbled upon some photos that I had taken from the train on my way back to L.A. from Encinitas and here are some of them that I want to share with my readers. Hope you enjoy these photos and remember to pack your camera with you, every time you get on that train!
