My Coach Satchel makes the perfect travel bag for long haul flights!
The organizing freak that I am, it is absolutely essential for me to have the right travel bag to carry with me in the plane especially when I am on long-haul flights. Usually I don't like to mix bags so a travel bag remains with me mostly for the purpose of travel and it should meet all my travel needs.
After a long search for an appropriate travel bag, I found this Coach bag at the Citadel Outlets, CA, a couple of years ago that I have found ideal to carry with me on my 20 plus hour flights! Here are some of the reasons, why I like this bag so much:
1. Design that zips
This is one of my top concerns for a travel bag--that it must have a top zipper so that my cash and other stuff remain safe! It would make me very uneasy to have a bag on flight that does not zip up. Sometimes when I have carried an open tote bag on a flight, my things have fallen out in the overhead cabin and once I actually left behind a pack of Lindt chocolates that I had so lovingly bought for a friend! Besides, I don't like people to see what I have in my bag--after all my bag is my private space. :)
This bag is the ideal size to carry on long-haul flights. It's neither too big that it can't pass off as a lady's handbag at check-in and it's neither too small that it can't carry all of your things you may be needing on the flight. Tickets, wallet, passport, medicine bag, make-up kit, hair-brush, small towel, Bose headphones, Apple 6sPlus Iphone, Ipadmini and even a packet of cookies.....you name it, everything fits in the bag beautifully! I call it my Mary Poppins bag but the best thing is that it doesn't look so big!
The quality is exceptional--I have used it on several flights in varying conditions but the pebbled leather still looks brand new. The zipper is in great working condition and there is no wear and tear around the handles.
Basic black, you can't go wrong with it--I wouldn't touch a lighter color in a travel bag; I would always be worried about the bag getting dirty and sometimes you really can't help the dirt!
I bought it at a fabulous price at the Citadel Outlets in Los Angeles, CA, and there was an extra 50% off on the store!
I like the Coach Prairie Satchel in pebbled leather that is somewhat like the bag I have, available for $275 from macys.com.
