Munich when it snows!
It was October 2012 and I was in the middle of my German course B2.3 at the Goethe Institute in Munich, Germany. Some friends had planned a photography workshop for the weekend and I was really looking forward to it all week long. Imagine, what joy was ours when on the day of the workshop, we woke up to a white morning-it had snowed all night long and was still snowing, the first snow of the winters heralding the arrival of an early winter! 'Es ist diesmal früh gekommen! (It has come early this time!)', said my German Professor somewhat concerned in anticipation of a long, cold winter ahead but I was overjoyed-I didn't want to leave Germany without having seen snow...again! I love when it's white and still...oh, so still! Here are some pictures from the workshop. :)
This first picture is outside my hotel Concept Living Serviced Apartments in Gießing, Munich. The white of the snow mixed ethereally with the gold of the fall leaves creating an other-worldly color palette. :) If you look at the color palette of the Fall-Winter Hallhuber (the very popular German fashion label) styles, it co-ordinates perfectly well with the surroundings-magically ethereal. :)
It took my friend a long time to get the snow off the car before we could finally get going!
We made it in time despite the snow to join our friends at the Liebherrstrasse near the Isar for the photography workshop. :)
We walked along the Isar river taking pictures as the snow fell lightly on us. :)
It was a wonderful afternoon followed by a delicious cup of Feine Milde coffee (from Tchibo) in my cute little apartment at Concept Living. :) Ich liebe Deutschland! :)
