1. Coffee helps us to connect and make progress!

How fun it is to spend the whole afternoon chit-chatting with your best friend about non-essentials of life over many cups of coffee–in German they call it Kaffeeklatsch which means getting together for gossip over coffee. :) Other than gossip, you can also get creative and  organize theme-based Kaffeeklatsch to discuss topics of relevance to your group of friends-the last time I was at one, I decided to start sourcingstyle.com. :) Indeed a Kaffeeklatsch can go a long way in not only establishing new relationships and building old ones but also opening doors and possibilities for new opportunities to come in–remember the tying factor here is coffee. :)

2. Coffee helps us to never give up!

Not long ago, I received a big package of coffee from a friend in Germany along with a postcard that read– 'hinfallen, aufstehen, Krone richten, weitergehen' translated in English as, 'when you fall down, you pick yourself up, you fix your crown and then you move forward'. I would add to kaffeetrinken to this; the English translation then would be 'when you fall down, you pick yourself up, you drink a nice cup of coffee, you fix your crown and then you move forward'. All coffee addicts would agree that coffee is one of the major factors that helps us never to give up in life!

3. Coffee helps to change bad-habits!

Sometimes bad-habits can beat us down to a point that we loose focus on those things that are most important to us in life. If we have been struggling with a bad-habit for a long time and find it too difficult to give it up, we should take heart from a good cup of coffee.:) It is soothing and works like magic and makes the battle of life much easier to fight and win. Whenever there is an urge to fall back upon old-habit patterns, divert your mind and treat yourself to a good cup of coffee–I promise you, you'll think and act differently! For those who don't drink coffee, you might want to introduce a cup a day of a fine brand like the German Feine Milde (my favorite) or the very delicious Illy Espresso Medium Roast Coffee–it's easily addictive. :) P.S.: Feine Milde is a mild coffee and perfect for those who drink many cups a day whereas Illy Medium Roast Coffee is stronger but totally awesome. :)

4. Coffee helps control desires!

Everybody knows how difficult it is to control desires. If one deeply thinks life is nothing but one big unending chain of relentless desires that makes us prisoners of our own free will. Anytime I have tried to break free from a desire, I have faced intense resistance from the mind–that is where coffee comes in. Even though it may not be the best substitute for what we want, it offers great comforting solace to the mind making it much easier for us to overcome. :)

5. Coffee never fails us :)

Our best friend may suddenly desert us, our family may not have enough time for us, our colleagues at work may not understand us but a nice cup of coffee will never fail us! It becomes like a true companion of the soul helping it to grow and understand and to be creative and to achieve more and more everyday-day after day. :)

My friend Rachael said to me that coffee actually helps her to calm down and think more clearly. :) I couldn't agree more!

P.S: I always believe that moderation is the key to enjoying life, so drinking coffee moderately is the key to enjoying coffee. If you are getting palpitations, headaches and nausea, and you feel your adrenaline increasing after a cup, it means you are probably having too much and it also may be possible that the coffee is not suiting your system-you probably need to change your brand.
