On #swimming, #haircolor & #Kerastase :)
Hi friends, a gorgeous day today with the sun shining and all well and happy! So finally I decide to post a hair-care solution I settled on after many months of trying out different kinds of products. Being a swimmer I need to wash my hair every day but swimming shouldn't ruin my chances of having the hair highlighted or colored or streaked, even though I avoided it for many years and then I finally gave in! The transition was beautiful and the compliments I received on my new hair color were generous and Michael my hair-dresser didn't seem to think that swimming would do any damage to the German Schwarzkopf color he used (except maybe the color would fade), so I decided to keep the look even though expensive to maintain. For one, I cannot color my hair at home any longer and I do need to show up at the salon for touch-ups and highlights and conditioning treatments and even though I end up spending so much money on hair, it is well worth it-well worth how good it makes me look and feel.
With such expensive hair-treatments and the damage from the pool and chlorine, it is absolutely vital for me to select only the shampoo and conditioner that keep my hair in as best possible a state as my lifestyle can afford. I have tried many different kinds of products including organic and natural till my hair-dresser recommended me Kerastase and then everything changed. You know how it is when you are having a bad-hair-day, how your mood dips and everything around you is dull and grey, well, after using Kerastase, the hair is always soft even without styling and keeps me looking good and confident all day! I don't suffer from hair-fall either which may also be the natural result of a balanced nutritional diet but in the meanwhile, the following is what I use for hair-
1. Just a dab or two of Kerastase Reflection which is a luminous softening shampoo for highlighted or very sensitized color-treated hair.
2. After washing the hair thoroughly with the shampoo, I use the Oleo-Relax Anti-Frizz Conditioning Mask that keeps the hair from getting dry and frizzy. At the time of applying the conditioner (and you don't need to apply a lot) it is important to comb the hair with a fine-teethed comb to ensure the conditioner evenly spread out in the hair.
3. I try to keep the conditioner for a few minutes before rinsing it out. Then on towel-dried hair, I apply a dab or two of the Kerastase Elixir Ultime Oil and this step is my favorite!! The fragrance of the oil is absolutely luxurious and makes the hair feel healthy and beautiful!! Remember to even out the oil in the hair using the comb after applying.
4. On days when my hair is too frizzy or dry, I sometimes combine the Oleo Relax Conditioning Mask with the Oleo Relax Smoothening Shampoo for dry and rebellious hair.
Sometimes a little moderate indulgence (which I understand is relative for different people), goes a long way in preserving your happiness!:) Enjoy your day and your hair!!
