#Confessions of a Shopaholic
Confessions of a Shopaholic is the story of Rebecca Bloomwood (Isla Fisher) whose shopaholism threatens to ruin not only her finances but also her life and personal relationships. Rebecca is a journalist who dreams of working with a top fashion magazine but lands up with a job at a sister company as a personal finance columnist instead. The comedy of the situation is that she is heavily in debt herself thanks to her shopaholism and she takes this job only so she can eventually get a job with the fashion magazine! Despite the odds, her finance column inspired by her latest shopping adventure becomes an overnight success while she falls in love with her boss, the good-looking Luke Brandon (Hugh Dancy).
Having gone through shopping excesses myself, I can completely empathize with Rebecca when she pulls out different credit cards to pay for one scarf and the transaction is still declined or when she compares her love for clothes and fashion stores to real life love and relationships!
It's a fun movie to watch and a tear-jerker especially if you identify with Rebecca and her shopping sprees plus the romance with Luke Brandon does add flavor to the film. I ordered the DVD from Amazon only recently and watched it twice already. :)
