Shopping at Selfridges in London in a Talbots pink linen dress
On my recent visit to London, I and my cousin sister spent a perfectly satisfying Sunday shopping at Selfridges - the high-end department store in the U.K. Starting our day with a soya cappuccino, that we bought at a drive-through Costa Coffee, we had breakfast at Pret A Manger before heading to the store located on Oxford Street. It was hot and I was wearing a pale pink Talbots linen dress that I had bought a couple of years ago in the U.S. My new Michael Kors bag and the almost nude Zara sandals complimented the dress beautifully.
After browsing through the Skincare and Make-Up section, we headed to the Womenswear Department, checking out dresses, shoes, bags and hats from some of the world's best labels like Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Ted Baker.
It was around 12 noon and we were lucky that there were not many people there, as the store had just opened. I was beginning to enjoy my fun day shopping at Selfridges!
This hat was beautiful but costed 500GBP - definitely not my budget for a hat!
This chiffon dress in powder pink with an interesting floral pattern, caught my attention - something I could think of adding to my wardrobe! I also found bags matching the dress!
Burberry had a beautiful collection of dresses, jackets and trenches and I would have almost bought this trench, if I hadn't already bought one in a similar color from Karen Millen a few days before!
Even after a couple of hours of shopping, I was feeling bright and energetic - something only shopping can make you feel!
We could have just spent hours shopping in the shoe section only! These shoes from River Island that I bought for 40GBP, have been one of my best buys - so comfortable and perfect for walking anywhere in London!
My cousin is a make-up artist and couldn't help stopping at the Mac counter on the first floor - I watched on.
I have never seen more Chanel bags anywhere else in the world than in London! This Chanel flap bag in black, that a shopper was carrying, is my all-time favorite!
I loved the new range of Louis Vuitton bags too - in bright reds and blacks with matching ankle boots, they fulfilled all your red-carpet dreams!
It was getting late and time to head home - time to get back to a normal life - we stopped at the Selfridges Foodhall for some late-afternoon lunch and coffee before leaving!
Thank you Ruchi for taking my pictures!
