A Ralph Lauren woolen jersey knit dress at the Louvre: Paris diaries
It was 4 a.m. when I woke up at my hotel in central London. My friend and I were booked on the Eurostar to Paris at 8:40 a.m. and were meeting at the Saint Pancreas International train station in London at 8 a.m. for breakfast. I quickly got out of bed, showered and got ready, very excited for my trip to Paris that day. However, it turned out that there was a long queue at the train station at immigration, and we had barely enough time to pack a couple of oven-hot tomato-cheese croissants which we enjoyed with coffee in the train later on. My outfit for the day was a Ralph Lauren woolen jersey knit dress and a Karen Millen long coat, accessorized with a cashmere stole, Marks & Spencer knee-high boots, and a Kate Spade sling bag.
In Paris, our first stop was the Louvre, the world's largest museum and a historic monument, housed in the Louvre Palace that was built as a fortress in the 12th century. Luckily for us, the sun was shining and it was a beautiful day as we admired the glass pyramid structure of the Louvre and walked around the Louvre Palace.
I also felt that it was the perfect spot to photograph this beautiful Ralph Lauren dress as the graphics on the dress somehow connected to the graphic structure of the Louvre.
My friend wanted to make a quick errand to the nearby Apple Store, while I sat and waited for her, taking in the beauty of the surroundings. Meanwhile, this guy in the picture wanted to sell me small Eiffel Tower souvenirs but unfortunately for him, I was in no mood to shop!
Most of the Louvre Palace, which in earlier times has been used by the kings of France as their main Paris residence, has now been transformed into a museum.
