Dressing for a yoga retreat
Happy International #YogaDay everybody!! Today I also posted on my #TravelBlog my experience at a #spiritualretreat in #BlackForest in Germany two years ago. I am a #fashoinaholic and take care to dress well even if I am isolated in some corner of the world attending a #spiritual/yoga retreat. These are some of my must-haves for the retreat (in summer, of course!)–
1. Yoga pants that don't stretch out of shape or bag at the knees forming weird shapes and are super-comfortable and a treat to wear like my .@Patagonia Serenity Pants with foldaway waistbands! The waistbands are really comfortable and you don't have to worry about anything showing while doing yoga postures.
2. A nice Hoody that flatters and doesn't give bulk like W's Gravity Hoody from Patagonia (on sale at $55). There is a beautiful Radiant Magenta still available! Tip: Runs very small, check size and reviews before ordering. I love mine...it's organic cotton and a real treat to wear!
3.. A good pair of walking shoes like these ones I got from Ecco in Germany so I don't have to worry about tying laces, old but gold, aren't they cute?:)
4. A cross body bag comes handy for a walk in the forest with your Smartphone in it, incase you get lost and need Googlemaps to get you back! But don't use the phone to call people, after all you are on a retreat! I love my Coach Mini Bennett Satchel, available at Amazon in different colors. :) Tip: Always carry a real 'paper' map and a real compass just incase the phone doesn't work. :)
5. A small point and shoot camera like the ones from Canon which also fit in your cross body bag. Some smartphones are great for pictures but I still prefer a camera as I don't have to worry about the battery of the phone being used up!
6. My LLBean Flip Flops.
Tissues, Hat, Sunglasses, Sanitizer, Flashlight etc.etc.etc......and my Travel Diary :)
