It all starts with the box!

I am completely sympathetic to that subtle feeling that goes through a young woman's heart (who has shopped a lot and must under all circumstances stop #shopping) when she sees a #Fedex or a #UPS delivery van. That sort of a displaced feeling that reminds one of the unpaid credit card bills and spreading fast from the mind to the body wrecking the entire nervous system. It may even hang on and turn itself into a malignant mood! I am very happy to admit that I have terribly improved over the past 'some days' especially since I am presently in a remote place where no UPS or Fedex truck can reach save internet and Wishlists!! My today's Wishlist is the calf-length organic cotton skirt from #EileenFisher and the absolutely gorgeous matching linen top in white (on sale too!). When it comes to layering and uneven hems, Eileen Fisher is a master! So incase of something so good and sophisticated and breathtakingly simple, like this skirt and top, one just has to have it, right? Ah, well, not quite....i have truly started believing that instead of going dead-end with credit card bills and guilt feelings--i am first going to earn my dress, i.e. put away money systematically every month for shopping and never to exceed the shopping budget. A friend said to me that deferred gratification is even better. If one saves and invests for one year then one might be able to get two Gucci bags instead of one--well, if one truly has to wait one year for a Gucci bag, it's most likely that that desire will die too-so much for shopping and so much for saving! Atleast i can look at the dress online and feel happy right now...or better still, visualize myself wearing it--visualization combined with hope and positive thinking really works like magic to fulfill all one's dreams. :)
